Security Checkpoints

There are 3 security checkpoint locations.

Terminal 1 - Gates A1 - A9

• Serves only Air Canada, Frontier, and Southwest 

Terminal 2 - Gates B10 - E59  (Please note that Terminal 2 has two checkpoints)

• North Security Checkpoint (closest to American Airlines)
• South Security Checkpoint (closest to Alaska, Delta, JetBlue, and United; this checkpoint also serves American)

Hours of Operation

• The Terminal 1 Security Checkpoint is open from 4:00am - 9:00pm.
• The North Security Checkpoint is open from 4:00am - 11:00pm.
• The South Security Checkpoint is open from 4:00am - 9:00pm.

TSA Guidance for Travelers

The TSA provides general traveler information on guidelines and regulations.

TSA Precheck

TSA Precheck is a program that allows enrolled customers to expedite security screening.  Customers use a dedicated lane for identification and verification by TSA.  Once verified, customers may leave their shoes and belts on, and leave their laptops, liquids, in their carry-on luggage.  Information about eligibility and the application process can be found at the TSA Precheck website, or visit the TSA Precheck Enrollment Center located next to baggage claim 6 in Terminal 2.  The enrollment center is open Monday - Friday: 08:00am - 12:00pm & 12:30pm - 04:00pm and closed on Holidays. Walk-ins are accepted; however, customers with appointments are given priority. 

CLEAR is available at Reagan National

CLEAR is a registered travelers program that allows members to provide a biometric scan of their finger or eye to instantly verify their identity.  CLEAR is available at all of our security checkpoints.  Look for the CLEAR logo or Representative.  Visit clearme.com for more information on how to become a member, or visit a CLEAR enrollment kiosk located near each security checkpoints.

CLEAR now offers TSA PreCheck enrollment and renewal services available at each of their locations. 

International Travelers

Reagan National has a limited number of international flights. All immigration and customs screenings for these flights take place prior to boarding at the point of origination.
