The 2023 holiday travel season is upon us, and we're here to share tips and information to help you make the most of your airport visit during this festive season. AIRPORT ARRIVAL TIME To ensure a smooth and stress-free journey to catch flights on time, passengers are advised to arrive inside the terminal at least two hours prior to departure for domestic flights. For international flights, passengers should arrive three hours in advance.

Reagan National Airport will be undergoing a carefully coordinated redevelopment of Terminal 2 amenities over the next several years. The program is designed to deliver significant improvements for airport customers while minimizing disruptions that accompany construction projects. Passengers will notice construction walls in post-security areas where changes are underway.  The project focuses on introducing enhanced shopping and dining options, creating innovative spaces to relax in National Hall and at the gates, as well as upgrading the restroom experience. 

Starting June 1st, Reagan National’s newest destination, Cedar Rapids, Iowa will be a direct flight away on American Airlines. The Cedar Rapids/Iowa City region This dynamic region, also known as the Corridor, is located in the heart of America's heartland and offers a wealth of cultural, outdoor, and culinary experiences. From exploring historic sites to immersing yourself in the arts, the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City region has something for everyone.  

Starting June 1st, Reagan National’s newest destination, Madison, Wisconsin will be accessible with direct flights on American Airlines. Located directly between the two lakes of Mendota and Monona, Madison is a mid-sized city that perfectly blends urban style with the natural beauty of its surroundings. This destination for all offers culture, outdoor recreation, and delicious food. Whether you're a nature lover or a concert enthusiast, Madison has something to offer for everyone.  

Express Drop Off provides a quick route for those customers flying on Alaska, American, Delta, JetBlue, and United. If you have only carry-on luggage and your boarding pass, check it out! Provides easy access to the North and South Security Checkpoints! Directions:

Reagan National and Dulles International Runways Expected to Remain Closed Through Sunday, January 24. Significant snowfall and high winds, coupled with the continued closure of roads and public transportation in surrounding communities,  make resumption of normal flight operations at the airports unlikely on Sunday.

At Reagan National Airport, we are pleased to welcome concierge services provided by the following companies:

The Airport Chapel is located at the south end of Terminal 2 across from the Gates B10 -  B22, directly behind Dunkin Donuts. The Interfaith Chapel offers travelers a quiet place for reflection. All persons are welcome. The Chaplaincy is staffed by ordained clergy and trained lay volunteers. For those who need additional guidance, our chaplains provide a bridge to community resources and churches throughout the greater Washington, DC metro area. Worship Services

Free WiFi is provided in the Main Terminal and concourse areas. Our WiFi network is called FlyReagan. Step 1: Turn on your WiFi enabled computer, tablet, or smartphone and navigate to your WiFi settings. Select the FlyReagan network and a "splash screen" will appear. Step 2: Enter your Email Address and Zip/Postal Code. Note: International Customers can select “Yes” to bypass entering the Zip/Postal Code.

Smoking is permitted outside the Terminal buildings at least 10 feet from the entrance doors unless otherwise marked. Ashtrays are provided outside the entrances. These rules are in accordance with Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Regulations, Virginia Indoor Clean Air Act, Va. Code Section 15.2-2820 et seq; and Virginia Statewide Fire Prevention Code.

Reagan National has designated Pet Relief Areas for our customers traveling with serviceanimals. Pets are also welcome! We have several great locations for you to use:

Charging stations for computers, phones, and other electronic devices are located throughout the airport including the gate areas, restaurants, and baggage claim levels. Just look for the "power up" signage.  Traveling through Terminal 1?  Charge your device while dining at District Bar, Reservoir or Page. Be sure to take your charger with you when you are done!        

Reagan National Airport offers Smarte Carte baggage carts for rent. You will find cart corrals located on the Parking garages, Departures Level (curbside), and on the Arrivals Level next to the baggage claim carousels. Carts can be rented with a credit card or cash currency.  The cost is $5.00 per cart.
